How to calculate square footage
Square footage is length times width. Measure the longest side as the length and the other side as the width, both in the same unit, then multiply. For a 12 ft by 12 ft room: 12 times 12 equals 144 sq ft. To convert square feet to square meters, multiply by 0.092903. To convert square meters to square feet, multiply by 10.7639.
